To celebrate Women's History Month, we took the time to speak with the women of Legacy Ridge Private Wealth to for their insight! We discussed the women who have influenced them, how they found their way in the financial industry, and any advice they want to give the next generation of working women in finance.
Georgia Boley, Branch Operations Manager of Legacy Ridge Private Wealth, has graciously offered her thoughts on these Women’s History Month questions. Check out her answers below:
Q: What does Women’s History Month mean to you personally?
GB: Recognition of the many women who have made history, not just in our country, but globally as well. One of my favorite women in history is Eleanor Roosevelt, in part because of her leadership in drafting the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
Q: What women—past or present—have influenced you the most and why?
GB: My mother and grandmothers, my daughter, and my sister influence me as past, and present guides, supporters, and visionaries of how I would like to conduct myself as a woman and contribute to humanity.
Q: What inspired you to pursue your current career path?
GB: My passion will always remain in nutrition as a registered dietitian with a private practice, but my new additional role at Legacy Ridge provides me an opportunity to support a cause that is passionate to my husband and his team. This gives me rich insight into his world and the world around him, which is quite a new and interesting experience after 28 years of marriage, to work occupationally together for the first time!
Q: What’s a piece of advice you would give to women just starting out in their careers?
GB: Don't doubt or be afraid of your dreams and gravitate to surroundings that foster your best self.
Who is a woman in your life you’d like to honor this month?
GB: My daughter Olivia Boley
